Veteran's Benefits

Updated: Nov 15, 2019

There are many benefits available to veterans and their caregivers through the Veterans Administration.

Most American men, 75 year and older were drafted into the military. Even if they were drafted never left the U.S., they are eligible for benefits and their wives may be also.

If a veteran is older and needs care, they are eligible under something called Aid and Attendance (A & A). This provides funding for home care, adult day care, hospice, long term care and more. Veterans can also receive reduced cost medicines. If you need help accessing services you can call 877-222-8387.

Caregivers of veterans can receive support as well. Call 855-260-3274 to learn more.

The VA will also help pay for burial and funeral expenses, which are reimbursed. They will pay up to $300 if death is not connect to your service in the military.

Happy Veteran's Day to all who served. Thank you for our freedom.
